The March Beer Club selection includes:
Schwartz Brewery, Bohemian Pilsner
Brewed using Pilsner malt and imported Saaz hops this beer has been created to develop a classic full flavour and aroma.
The Pilsner can be found at Schwartz Brewery, located in the belly of the Macquarie Hotel in Sydney.
Mudgee Brewing Co, Wheat Beer
A traditional European-style beer, brewed using lots of wheat malt. It uses Bavarian yeast, giving the beer a cloudy appearance, and distinctive aromas of clove and banana.
This beer goes down easily and is packed to the rafters with flavour. Brewing wheat beers is one of the more difficult brewing styles, but the creamy texture and spicy overtones of Mudgee Wheat are worth the trouble.
Boat Rocker, Alpha Queen
This is a big hoppy brew, brewed using massive amounts of Cascade hops late in the boil to give a big hop flavour. It is and then backed up by equally large amounts of dry hopping. The end result? A great example of an American Pale Ale, with big hop flavour & a wonderful dry hop aroma.
Alpha Queen is the flagship beer of Boat Rocker, it is so named because it uses large amounts of female hop flowers and all their natural alpha acids.
Kooinda Brewing, Pale Ale
This Pale Ale is brewed according to the German Purity Law of 1516, which states only water, malt, yeast and hops can be used in brewing. It is a full bodied brew with a copper hue and hints of citrus in its aroma. The ale combines 3 specialty malts and finishes with a touch of bitterness on the palate.
