  Lives up to the reputation

  This is contender for best brown beer i've ever had. Very smooth with deep roasted malts flavor. Despite the description this was very balanced and not a sweet beer.

  This is a true brown, The brewery has not gone overboard with hops, so lets the really delicious flavours to shine through. Treat yourself to rich malt, caramel, toffee, with a hint of roasted nuts. Follow with a porter ,then a stout, good Winter sequence. Enjoy !

  Solid as a rock, as with pretty much anything from Brooklyn Brewery. Can't go wrong.

  A Decent Brown Ale

  Has a good dark brown colour pouring with a finger of head. The smell has a good bit of malt to it, a slight touch of nuttiness. Taste is very much malt up front, some hops, nuts, a little bit of caramel. The hoppiness balances the malt nicely. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this is a very enjoyable beer.
