Wijnberg is a beer inspired by our region, where old brown is a well-known beer style. The dark brown beer reconciles two traditional old brown styles into a new kind of old brown, which balances between sweet and sour in terms of taste. We mix one third of young beer with two thirds of beer that has been aged in wood for at least 2 years. For extra complexity, we added a portion of Jacobins Oud Foederbier from Brouwerij Vanderghinste in Bellegem.

The name of this new member of our range refers to the Wijnberg, a neighborhood in Wevelgem where one of our brewers grew up. In addition, it is also a nod to the vinous character of the beer.
