Four generations of the Moortgat family have brought together Pilsner malts, Bohemian hops, and a unique yeast strain to create this intense, aromatic and beguiling ale. This Belgian favourite is best enjoyed chilled with discerning friends or good-looking strangers.

All round...
I first visited Belgium over 30 years ago. The beer was a revelation. I then visited Belgium a few times per year on businesss and holidays for the next 25 years. I tried lots of styles and liked many, but the Duvel was a great go-to beer. A brilliant golden ale. Complex flavours that are very enjoyable. Best if served not too cold, maybe 6 to 8 C. Be aware that many Belgium beers including Duvel are VERY carbonated. Pour very slowly into a tulip glass.
Enjoy.

Absolute Essential
What can I say? It was a long time since I tried a Duvel at the Belgian Beer Café in Adelaide. Long enough that I had forgotten what it was like!
Chanced on this one when I ordered the Beer Cartel Belgian selection (ALWAYS recommend their selections.)
Interesting and complex are in there, but hard to state HOW interesting and complex. This really is a very special beer. Goes well with mixed antipasto meats.
Put quite simply, if you have a collection of Belgian beers to select from, you need a few of these in there.
Now, writing this review, I am rather sad that I don't have any on hand at the moment, because want!

All time classic Belgian champion.
Duvel was one of the first Belgian beers I had and today it still is one of my favourite beers. Strong with a bitter, hoppy flavour.
And it is ok to pour with a big head.

My favourite Belgian Ale. Beautiful smooth golden ale. You'd never know it was 8.5%. Thumbs up!
