Most beer utilises barley and wheat malt in the brewing process. Both however contain gluten, which is bad news for coeliac disease sufferers. Gluten-free beers use grains such as millet instead.
Gluten reduced beers in contrast use an enzyme to break down the gluten to below 5 parts per million. Breweries who offer a gluten reduced core range of beers include Bentspoke and Wayward Brewing.
