  This is an example of a brewery making a Boo Boo and recovering the investment through strategy. To my experience the beer is under-attenuated, much too sweet and cloying. I would be prepared to bet that in 2016 it exhibited strong fusel flavours. The decision to store for 3 years and release as Christmas Ale is inspired, however it is not a patch on a well made strong Belgian and exhibits a number of shortcomings in the mash and ferment stages. However, well recovered guys!

  Velvet. Rich, black Forest chocolate. Could warm the grinch’s heart.
