The great thing about being based in the Hills is the availability of amazing fruit to be used in our beers. After the success of the Mandarin Sour and our core range Strawberry Sour, we thought we should try our hands at a Peach Sour. This isn’t a traditional Berliner Weisse aged in wooden barrels, but it’s still brewed in a method that was used historically, called a kettle sour.
With peach juice traditionally difficult to use in flavouring beers, we decided to use a peach puree to ramp up those fruit flavours. Expect a slightly hazy look with a pleasant tartness up front followed by a rounded slightly sweet peach finish. Overall, the beer is light and refreshing.
