Natural wine producers call the protective layer that forms in their barrels "the veil". For our birthday we blended three different barrel-aged beers that have all matured under "the veil" and we created: La Voile Noir, French for "The Dark Veil." The result is a barrel aged dark ale that touches on both the Saison and Dubbel styles balancing flavours of spice, chocolate, barrel fruit, and acidity.
