Home Again is a brand new Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout conditioned on toasted coconut and cacao nibs to create the ultimate Rum Ball experience. For this special Christmas treat, we’ve raided our barrel program and hand selected our favourite barrels to blend.

This beer consists of our house Imperial Stout base aged for 12 months in ex-Cape Byron Distillery Single Malt barrels, as well as 6 months in ex-sherry casks from The Walrus Distillery (a new project from friends of ours that is coming soon).

Pouring jet black with an incredibly inviting mocha head. Straight away we get warming notes of rich chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut and a healthy dose of whisky. All of these characters follow on the palate, complimented by a silky body with a real depth of malt complexity from an extended boil when brewing the base. Layers and layers of flavour coat your mouth as the adjuncts come together perfectly in unison. A nice hit of whisky and sherry comes in at the end to round everything out nicely. This is one of our favourite BA stouts we’ve ever released and it’s the perfect nightcap after some Christmas pud.
