Romkugle/Rum Ball/Trøffel is a beer we brewed in collaboration with the great people of the VoxHall music venue in Århus, Denmark.

A romkugle is a traditional danish pastry, primarily featuring chocolate, vanilla and rum.

For this beer, we brewed a big imperial stout base beer, trying to match the flavors you get from the pastry itself, before adding a ridiculous amount of Belgian cacao nibs, single origin Mexican vanilla beans and Jamaican rum.

This beer is inspired by the romkugle style, where the chocolate is the main flavor impression, and as the beer warms in the glass, the chocolate changes in so many ways, allowing the vanilla and rum to accentuate the base beer as well.
