Brasserie des Voirons, run by Christophe and Barbara Grellier since 2013, sits below Mont Blanc in the Haute-Savoie village of Lucinges. The brasserie produces a vibrant range of wild ales, brewed with pristine alpine water and organic barley and hops, and often infused with berries, citrus, wildflowers or foraged herbs or aged on the lees of the wines of some of France's most decorated vignerons. The brasserie is certified organic and the beers unpasteurised and unfiltered.

Lug Blanche is one of the Lug series of four vintage beers the brasserie produces; Blanche, Blonde, Rousse and Brune. Blanche, brewed with mostly wheat, is bright and tart, with balanced herbal and citrus notes and a nice bitterness on the finish.
