Mountain Goat Beer

Every so often the Goat brewers have time to sit and ponder why they restrict themselves to IPA’s as limited releases when we should have one on tap at our North Street brewery all year round? For the North Street IPA we drew on twenty years of brewing experience, two consecutive AIBA Champion IPA trophies and some trial brews, with plenty of "tasting panels" along the way. Available at our Richmond home and selected venues for hopheads everywhere. APPEARANCE: Gold with reddish tinge. AROMA: Resinous pine and citrus peel. FLAVOUR: Hop-driven medium bodied beer with a bold bitterness and dry finish.

The Colonial Porter presents opaque black with ruby tints topped by its soft cushiony mousse; the nose displays obvious dark chocolate and ground coffee with a background ‘gamey’ roasted meat note. At its most complex though a billy cart becomes a "gravity racer" and they are built to the same precision and aerodynamic principles as the pinnacle of motorsport- Formula One. Our Billy Cart is brewed with the same philosophy. The same attention to detail and flavour focus that we apply to our bigger beers is also true for our smallest beer. This results in a sleek and well flavoured Rye Pale Ale with a bright copper colour and aromas from both Northern and Southern Hemisphere hops. The rye provides a light spicy character in the background to a balance between malt sweetness and hop bitterness. Sure to provide fun and enjoyment to the gravity racer in us all.
